Our tissue registries
Our world-class Cardiovascular Tissue Registry holds material from over 20,000 human cardiovascular surgical and autopsy cases, while the Lung Tissue Biobank is the largest in Western Canada, providing researchers from academia, health authorities and industry with access over 120,000 well-phenotyped samples. These valuable samples allow our investigators to answer important questions in heart, lung, and critical care diseases, and support researchers from around the globe.
