This year, the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation celebrated its 40th anniversary! This occasion was honoured in the Fall 2017 edition of St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation's Promise Magazine.
“For 40 years, the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation has been finding answers to some of cardiopulmonary medicine’s most pressing questions – all within the setting of a busy urban hospital” Promise contributor Helena Bryan writes.
Since opening its doors in 1977, the Pulmonary Research Laboratory (as the HLI was then called), has grown into a world-class research centre for understanding and eliminating lung, heart and critical care diseases. The article outlines the milestones and exciting research advances along this journey.
Congratulations, HLI – and here’s to 40 more years!
